IDSIA is located in this building,
together with the
Swiss Supercomputing Center CSCS and SUPSI. The address is
IDSIA, Galleria 2, 6928 Manno (Lugano), Switzerland.
(It is not any longer in Corso Elvezia 36!)
From Airport Agno take a taxi (10 minutes, costs roughly SFR 20).
From Airport Malpensa in Milano (Italy): take the bus to Lugano station (80 min),
then go to IDSIA by bus or train or taxi (see below).
From Airport Zurich: take the train to
Lugano (goes once per hour, very nice 3 hour trip through the Alps).
From the train station in Lugano: either take the bus from Piazza
Besso (behind the station, leaves 9 min past every
full hour, takes 20min, exit at Centro di Calcolo),
or the little FLP train (leaves every 20 min, takes 8 min, exit at
Bioggio Molinazzo, walk 15 min north, or take instead the infrequent
bus to Centro di Calcolo), or a taxi (10 min, costs roughly SFR 25).
By highway: coming from the north (Gottardo, Bernardino) exit at
Lugano Nord, follow the signs to Ponte Tresa, you'll bridge the
highway; turn left at the traffic light (turning right would lead you
into Manno) and follow Via Cantonale
for some 50 meters; turn left again at the gas station; follow the
little road running in parallel to Via Cantonale until you come
to our building. Take the main entrance
from Via Cantonale, on the long side. We are on the second floor.
